your corgi toast is ready
Check out this fun, creative, and well-designed book about the Geometry of Pasta. The jacket unfolds into a cool infographic that is drawn to scale for handy reference. But that’s not the only cool thing. Check out the website for the book, that showcases different pasta shapes, and offers a few free recipes.Oh, and then there’s this really cute animated recipe they created.
The book was featured in Imprint, and here’s what they had to say about it:
The book is the brainchild of Caz Hildebrand, a partner in Here Design, a London firm that creates chic brand identities, packaging, environments and products…
[The inspiration for the book came from] lots of things, from the Italian Futurism of Marinetti to Op Art to Marimekko fabrics. The pasta shapes were rendered by illustrator Lisa Vandy, who does architectural renderings in CAD. They are all true to size: the length, diameter, and thickness of the pasta shape.

Um…..way to go Miss. Gina! Going back for more GD?
A client sent me a low resolution image of a 40 character key I needed. The image was of such low quality I couldn’t read the actual characters. I asked for the client to simply copy and paste the needed text. This is the reply I got:
Client: Do the CSI thing and say ‘enhance.’ That should do it.
